Professional Summary

Mr. Alexander concentrates his practice on all aspects of the construction industry, including the representation of general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals, sureties, and owners. Mr. Alexander regularly provides advice and counsel during ongoing construction projects and serves as counsel in the development, prosecution, and defense of claims in various dispute resolution procedures, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation in both state and federal courts. His prior work involved a broad range of issues, including contract preparation, project support, bond disputes, construction defects, construction liens, bid protests, and design liability on both private and public projects. Mr. Alexander’s most recent work includes the representation of general contractors and design-builders on major infrastructure, transportation, and commercial projects from procurement through dispute resolution.

Before law school, Mr. Alexander worked in the construction industry as a project engineer and estimator with a large commercial and industrial contractor, assisting with the planning, bidding, and management of various construction projects. Mr. Alexander applies the practical knowledge gained from this in-field experience to understand and analyze complex technical issues that commonly arise during construction.
